Homework
My philosophy on homework is to have students read every night, and practice math facts. These are the standard assignments that will remain the same all year. Occasionally I will send home additional work for language arts and/or math. Homework packets will go home every Monday and will need to be completed and turned in the next Friday.
Your child should be reading books at their reading level every day for at least 15 minutes. Please listen to your child read weekly and discuss what they are reading. This will help their reading comprehension.
Please check over your child's homework and make sure they have completed the work. Help your child become more responsible with turning in their homework by discussing with them the importance of completing their homework on time and placing their work in their backpack ready for school. Your child will receive an effort grade for completion of homework.
If your child was unable to complete the homework because of family reasons, please send a note with your child or email me.
